Topics needs an account and credits. It runs on the hosted vfrey service, which is not live yet. Free features, including autopilot with your own sources, do not need it.
Topics tells you what to make next. vfrey collects public posts for a niche on a schedule, from providers and the official YouTube API (it does not scrape), and ranks the topics that are rising. Each topic comes with its evidence: the posts, their views, and how old they are. A niche is collected once per schedule, however many customers watch it. When you ask for topics, you read what is stored.

Read topics

The ranking uses how fast views are rising, how a post compares with its author’s usual views, and whether a topic shows up on more than one platform. A topic that matches a compliance tag is dropped. An unknown number stays unknown. It is never a zero.

Ask for a new niche

It costs credits. The niche is collected on the next run, so its topics appear after that. --hashtags and --platforms are optional. Read it later with topics --niche ID.

Use topics in a series

Add a vfrey-topics source to a series, with the niche id as its value.
The source stage takes the top topic that this series has not already made a video about. The evidence goes with the job, so the agent and the script can cite it. If Topics cannot be read (you are signed out, or out of credits), vfrey skips that source, records topics_unavailable as a warning, and the tick goes on with the other sources. The Sources screen shows the warning.

The Topics screen

The dashboard has a Topics screen. Pick a niche and a series, read the ranked topics with their evidence links, and press Make a video. That runs a tick for that series about that topic. The screen reads through your desk, so the token stays on your machine. If you are signed out, the screen says “Sign in to see topics” and shows npx vfrey login. See Plans and credits for limits and what happens when credits run out.
