Acceptable use policy
What you may not do with vfrey.
Updated
A plain-language description of the product as it is. It is not legal advice.
What this covers
This policy applies to everyone who uses the vfrey console, the worker, the API, the remote MCP server and the free local tool. It is part of the Terms. The sections about outreach mail and research data apply to the paid service only. If you break it we can warn you, remove content, pause a feature, or end your access.
Do not break the law or other people's rights
- Do not use vfrey for anything illegal, or to help someone else do something illegal.
- Do not post content you have no right to use, or that infringes copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity or other rights.
- Do not make or post content that is defamatory, harassing, hateful, sexually exploitative, or that threatens or promotes violence or self-harm.
- Do not pretend to be someone else, or use someone's face, voice or name without permission, or make content meant to deceive people about real events (for example fake news or political deception).
- Never use vfrey for anything involving children that is unsafe or exploitative.
Follow the platforms
- Only connect accounts that you own or are allowed to post to.
- Follow the rules of YouTube, TikTok, Meta, Reddit and any other platform, including their API terms, quotas and policies on automated and AI-generated content.
- Do not use vfrey to get around a platform's limits, bans, or review, to buy or fake views, likes or followers, or to run many accounts to manipulate attention.
- Do not turn off, remove or work around the AI-generated content label. Add any extra disclosure the law or the platform requires.
Outreach mail
- Send only to people you have a lawful basis to contact. Do not buy, rent or scrape email lists to send to.
- Be truthful in sender names, subjects and headers. Do not hide who you are. Include your real postal address and a working unsubscribe link.
- Honour every unsubscribe at once. Do not try to email suppressed addresses by another route.
- Do not send phishing, scams, malware, unsolicited commercial messages that break the Spam Act 2003, CAN-SPAM or similar laws, or messages about content that is unlawful.
Research and scraped data
- Use creator and topic data lawfully, and in line with the source platform's terms.
- Do not use it to harass, stalk, discriminate against, or reveal private details about a person.
- Do not copy the creator index in bulk, resell it, or train a competing dataset on it. Do not get around export limits.
- Remove a creator's data from your own records if they ask you to.
Protect the service
- Do not probe, scan or test the service's security without our written permission. Tell us about a weakness at the privacy contact and give us time to fix it.
- Do not overload the service, evade rate limits or spend limits, or use several accounts to get more free usage.
- Do not reverse engineer the service except as the law allows, or resell access to it without our agreement.
- Keep your API tokens and MCP connections secure. You are responsible for what they do.
Reporting a problem
If you see abuse, or you are a creator or a recipient who wants to complain about content or mail sent through vfrey, write to privacy@vfrey.ai or use the Support page. We look at each report and act on those that break this policy.
